The Catcher in the Rye--Where Would I go if I were Holden?
The main character in The Catcher in the Rye is Holden Caulfield, a boy who gets kicked out of a prep school and leaves it to wander around alone in New York for a few days. If I were him, I probably wouldn't have gone to New York. I know that he's pretty familiar with the area, but I would not feel at all confident enough to stay alone in New York City. I wouldn't want to wander the streets alone or be by myself in an apartment room. It would probably make me feel really sad and lonely, which is another reason that I would decide to go somewhere else(besides being not confident about staying alone). I'm not sure where else I would really go if I were in Holden's place besides my house, even if it meant having to face my parents before they knew I was kicked out of school. Because of my parents probably getting very angry at me when I got home, it might take me sort of long to get home, but I still definitely wouldn't stay in New York. In my house at least I could be safe and with my family.

Being Unique and Keeping Individuality
Most people think that to be unique people have to be completely different from everyone else. I don't really think this is true. To me, everyone is unique in their own way, and no two people are exactly alike. Everyone has something about them will set them apart from another person, whether that thing is a hobby, a belief, their style, or something else.
Keeping individuality in an adult world means to stay yourself, and not change things about yourself just to be like others. To stay yourself, it isn't that you have to stay exactly the same. You can change, but the key to keeping individuality is to always make sure that what you are doing and how you are living your life is a true representation of you and who you are, and is not just you trying to blend in with others.
